5 Top Tips for a Successful e-learning strategy
1. Make sure content is interactive and engaging
You may think this is stating the obvious but the best way to inspire learners and teachers to take up e-learning is to make sure the content is engaging and interactive. We all love case studies and stories. Make it relevant. Make it real.
2. Use a blend of off-the-shelf content with the in-house material
It takes more than subject matter expertise to make good e-learning. The downfall of many e-learning implementation plans can be put down to the finished product never actually making it on to the LMS. What passes for 'e-learning' isn't always the most inspiring. Creating good e-learning in-house is time-consuming and expensive. A cheaper and low risk option is to buy in good quality off-the-shelf content.
3. Use a Learning Management System that meets your current needs and future aspirations
Moodle isn't the only fruit! There are many low-cost options for launching your online content. It certainly makes sense to use Moodle, which is, after all the most popular learning platform for colleges and universities, but you may find that linking Moodle to an LMS hosted by a third party will give you more options. It may also be cheaper than paying for the content to be transferred to your own Moodle platform.
4. Offer an e-commerce facility
